Sr Art Director & Creative Development for T-Mobile

Within the Brand Narratives team at T-Mobile, we are focused on one thing: Telling human stories. That focus has taken us traveling all over the United States, both in the cities and rural areas to find stories of customers who use T-Mobile’s network to accomplish their goals, give back to their community, or just live their lives. Beyond our customer’s stories, we also get to share stories about disaster relief efforts, our employees, their communities, and their professional experiences with T-Mobile. I feel incredibly grateful to be in a position not only to be able to share these stories, but to have these stories shared with me.

 

My role as Sr Art Director and Sr Creative Development Manager on a nimble team of four people has given me the opportunity to grow my skills beyond design and into the world of motion graphics, production, and post-production. My responsibilities within my role have included concepting videos, storyboarding, copy-writing, writing treatments, casting, selecting wardrobe and location, selecting music, directing color and edit, directing motion graphics, retouching notes for photography, directing graphic assets while on set, last looks, and more. Being on such a talented team, I am privileged to be given the chance to grow as a creative and see that with a group of dedicated individuals, incredible things are possible.

Solving Connectivity Issues

We set out to tell the stories of three different families across the United States and their struggle with reliable connectivity at home.
The unique challenge of filming during COVID brought its own roadblocks, but it gave us the opportunity to think about new ways and places that we may safely film all of our subjects. This was one of my favorite projects to complete because of all the wonderful people we got to meet and work with.

 
 

Hurricane Ida

Filmed during COVID, we were challenged to show not only the scale of damage cause by Hurricane Ida, but to also show the scale of help and relief that followed, all while we could not be physically present for the majority of the production. We conducted interviews both on-site and remotely, and used drone cameras to capture the magnitude of our story.
