Black History Month Spotlight

This project is special to me because it marks the first time I had full creative control over the design of the motion graphics, the music, and the editing. However, this wasn’t just an editing job — our team worked on this from the very beginning stages. We scouted for available locations on our T-Mobile campus, and we worked with the crew to make sure that the lighting, the set, the cameras and the wardrobe matched our vision. It was brilliant to see how so many people were able to come together to create one thing.

Once the shoot was completed, I worked with our graphic designer to develop the opening titles, as well as work with the editor to match the style of the opening titles and how they married to the music. I wanted to edit itself to feel like it was two vinyls spinning on a deck, and the DJ was mixing them expertly. The end video feels like T-Mobile, but has its own personality and sound.
